Rovers flattered by the scoreline

Carrick Rovers 8-0 Killylough

Rovers started very slowly with Killylough having the lions share of possession early on. Gradually Rovers started getting more possession and with this started taking more control of the game. Rovers took the lead on 16 minutes with a fine team goal. Fionn won possession in his own half and started the move. The ball went through Ryan, Aidan, Lorcan and Jerome who slipped a beautiful ball into the path of Fionn who had continued his run up the pitch. He side footed past the Killylough keeper.

15's pick up where they left off last year

Clones Town 1-4 Carrick Rovers
CMUL 15

Rovers travelled to Monaghan astro on Sunday last and picked up where they left off last year. The opening of this game was untidy and both sides huffed and puffed to create openings, with both teams neutralizing each other for the first 15 minutes. At this stage Rovers started to win more possession in the middle of the park and were now exploiting the width, with both Daniel and Michal getting into the game. From one great move down the right Ryan released Michal who was able to get past the full back and play a delightful ball across the box which eluded the in-rushing Jerome and Daniel. After 21 minutes Rovers got their first goal.
