11's win away

Ballyhaise 0-1 Carrick Rovers

On Sunday 19th January the 11s defeated Ballyhaise in a very entertaining match at Cavan Astro. After losing away to Cootehill 7 day's earlier these young lad's knew they would have to improve if they were going to pick up any point's on Sunday. The game kicked off at 3-30 and the Rovers enjoyed plenty of possession early on, creating some good chance's but failing to take the lead their play deserved.

Cormac, Nathan, Pavel and Zach were well on top in the middle, playing some lovely football. Flynn was working hard up front and causing the Ballyhaise defence plenty of problem's. At the back Luke, Keith, Conor and Andrew were dealing well with the home team's attack. Ballyhaise kept the Rovers out to ensure a goalless first half.

Ballyhaise 0-0 Carrick Rovers

The second half kicked off and the Rovers picked up where they left off. Conor, Oran and Niall were all introduced as the Rovers went looking for all 3 point's. With 10 minute's left to play Ballyhaise finally cracked when Nathan sent an unstoppable shot to the roof of the net. Rovers defended well to ensure a clean sheet and were deserving winner's.

Rovers can now look forward to a tough home game against Cootehill after having three hard away fixture's in a row. It will take a massive effort if they are to reverse the recent 3-1 defeat to Cootehill.
