Thanks to all the teams and the organisers.

Carrick Rovers have been promoted to Division 1, following the withdrawal of Rangers FC.

This is a well deserved move after their excellent campaign in last years league and we are confident that the players will appreciate the promotion and rise to the challenge. We expect a full turnout at training under their new manager David McSharry. Thanks to last season's managerial team for all their efforts.

Jimmy Farrelly RIP

Carrick Rovers wishes to extend it's deepest sympathies to the family of Jimmy Farrelly, his wife Jane and their three sons, Darren, Cian & Gavin.

Jimmy was an ever present spectator at Stedfast Cup games, especially where Kingscourt teams were involved. He always had a smile and a welcome for everyone and was a gentleman in every respect. He will be sadly missed not only in Kingscourt but also in the surrounding towns particularly in the sporting community.

As a mark of respect to Jimmy, the Stedfast Cup Final between Royal Breffni & St. Pats/Boylans, which was originally scheduled for yesterday, 14th July was postponed and has been re-fixed for next Friday, 21st July, Ko 7.00pm on the Ballybay Road
