Clones Town 1-5 Carrick Rovers
CMUL 14 Premier

Carrick Rovers 14's Premier side travelled to Clones on Sunday afternoon and ran out winners against a resilient Clones team. The pitch left a lot to be desired, with the grass uncut, the surface uneven and with holes in places. Rovers found themselves on the back foot early on, with the Clones side pressing Rovers high up the pitch. After 3 minutes Rovers conceded a corner and from the resulting delivery Rovers found themselves one down.

Milford 1-2 Carrick Rovers
SFAI 14 Goodson Cup
Rovers 14 side travelled to Milford in Donegal on Sunday just gone. This was the first time that this team has travelled by bus to any match, a big thank you to all the parents to date for offering lifts each week we travel. After an early start Rovers arrived in Milford early, got warmed up well and ready for action. From the off Rovers pressed an over worked rear guard, with the front two of Jerome Abekyamwale and Sean Burns getting in behind the Milford defence on three separate occasions only to see one cleared of the line another one saved and one to shave the post.

Carrick Rovers 4-3 Monaghan United
CMUL 14

The Ballybay Road was the place to be last Sunday morning, two very good sides, which play entertaining and stylish football clashed. The home team started well and for the first 8 minutes put a strong Monaghan side under pressure. A number of half chances were created for a lively front pairing of Sean Burns and Jerome Abekyamwale. These two gave the Monaghan rearguard a hard time for the full game, constantly probing and making great runs behind the Monaghan rearguard.
