Carrick Rovers 2-2 Blayney Rovers
CMUL 13 Premier
Carrick Rovers 13's welcomed neighbours Blayney Rovers to the Convent Lands on Saturday morning. Played on a great playing surface both these young sides tried to play good attractive, flowing football. Carrick had the better of the opening exchanges with some neat football. The back line of Cathal O'Rourke, Ciaran Guinan, Jared Wenham and Tadg Callaghan were giving good protection to Killian McNulty in the home goals. The midfield of Eoghan Duffy, Jamie King, Liam Og Murray, Tiernan McCourt and Dylan McCahey, were causing the visitors lots of problems with their clever interplay and they were linking up well with the impressive Dillon Carolan upfront. After some good approach work involving O'Rourke and Duffy the ball ended up with King. The clever midfielder slotted a terrific, defence splitting pass to Carolan but the Blayney keeper was off his line like a flash to smother the danger.

Carrick Rovers 1-2 Cavan Shamrocks
CMUL 13
Carrick Rovers newest competitive side had their 1st game on Saturday afternoon when our 13's squad made their debut in the CMUL. The opposition on the day were Cavan Shamrocks, who were runners up in the League last year. This was always going to be a test for these lads this being their debut into the 11 aside, full size pitch game.
