Cootehill Reserves 1-1 Carrick Rovers
MCSL Div 1
On Saturday evening Rovers made the journey to Cootehills new Astro Turf pitch and came away with a well deserved point but Cootehill had to field first team players in the second half to secure the point.
Carrick played very well from the off and attacked the Cootehill goal from early on with Craig Fannin proving to be a real thorn in the side for the home side. With John Doyle and Shane Birdy pulling the strings in midfield and the back four of John Mc Cabe, JP, Tayto and young Paddy O'Rourke standing strong, Rovers felt that this could've been their day and secure the first 3 points of the season.

Carrick Rovers 0-4 Killylough
On Sunday last Rovers took on Killyloughs first team in the quarter final of the League Cup.
Carrick played very well and matched Killylough man for man for the first half, something this inexperienced side have bee unable to do so far this season.  Rovers called on the experience of Shane Birdy, Warren Kerley and Rory Mc Eneaney to try and steady the ship and guide some of the younger lads in their first season of senior football and it was Kerley and Mc Eneaney that came close midway through the first half when Kerley fired a ball in after good work down the right but Mc Eneaney's overstretched leg couldn't reach to tap in.
