Exciting finish to the 2012/13 Season for Carrick Rovers Juveniles

The conclusion of the 2012/13 Schoolboys season is fast approaching and it will be an exciting time for Carrick Rovers AFC, with not one but four of our Underage squads involved in Cup Finals in their respective Leagues and age groups.

First up this Saturday 4th May, our 13’s CMUL Premier side will play BallyJamesDuff in the Premier Shield Final at 12 o’clock in Clara Lane, Cootehill. This side have grown as a Sqaud over the course of the year and have a chance to finish on a high note.

Next up on Sunday 5th May is the CMUL 14’s Championship Squad, one of our most improved sides, who will play fellow Monaghan outfit Killylough, which should be a closely contested affair. Kick-off is 12 o’clock again in Clara Lane, Cootehill.

This is followed up at 1.30pm by our 14’s CMUL Premier side. After being crowned Champions last weekend, these lads are looking to make it a double, but their opponents Ballyjamesduff might have something to say about that.

This is a great showcase for our Club as a whole and we are encouraging as many Players, Parents, Committee Members and Senior Players, to come out and cheer on our Stars of the Future.

Also our NECSL are still fighting on 2 fronts, with still games in hand they have a chance to finish up Runners-up in the NECSL 17’s Premier Division and have reached the NECSL HSE Cup Final, where they will face our neighbours and newly crowned Champions Newtown in what should be a close contest.

So all is looking good for our Juvenile Section and we hope to be reporting on Silverware coming back to Carrickmacross in the near future.
