Kells Blackwater 4-0 Carrick Rovers
NECSL 15 Premier Division
Carrick Rovers 15's made the short journey on Saturday morning to top of the table Kells Blackwater. The lads were up for the game and wanted to cause an upset. The game started and thanks to Ronan's 5 second rule we pressed hard and won the ball back in no time. The game was very tight at the start and both teams tried very hard to create chances.

Carrick Rovers 3-0 Oldcastle
NECSL 15 Premier

Carrick Rovers 15’s met Oldcastle on the Aces ground on Saturday morning, conditions were good. Oldcastle are midtable like Carrick and so we expected a tough but even game. Carrick opened well with good lively attacking moves with some nice one touch football. Cormac Boylan laid a long ball to Jack Kiernan who held it up for Stephen Finnegan who set up Kevin Lambe for a shot on goal, the Oldcastle goalie made a fine save.

"It turned out to be another free weekend for the 15's squad as yet another game was called off. This was due to the Park Celtic Summerhill pitch being declared unplayable. It was especially disappointing as we were heading for the bus on Saturday morning and looking forward to getting another much needed game completed in the League when we got the word.
On a separate note good luck to any of the 15's squad who are currently preparing for or are involved in their Junior Cert mocks."

Carrick Rovers 4-2 Athboy
15's NECSL Cup 1st Rd

Carrick Rovers 15's were at home last Saturday where they entertained Athboy in the 1st round of the NECSL Cup. This game had already been canceled twice previously so it was great to finally get it played and despite the difficult conditions both teams deserve great credit for their efforts.

Carrick Rovers 2-0 Park Celtic Summerhill
NECSL 15 Premier

On Saurday last Carrick Rovers 15’s met Park Celtic Summerhill on Shercock Road. The game opened up slowly with each team getting adjusted to the wet conditions. We changed from our normal formation to try some players in different positions. Ronan McDonald as ever solid in goals and Park Celtic Summerhill were getting in some good shots on goal with Ronan taking off some fine saves. Park Celtic Summerhill woke us up early in the game with their quick attacks up close to our goals.

Carrick Rovers 2-2 Trinity FC - Rovers won 4-3 on pens

Carrick Rovers 15’s took part in the first round of the Lions Youth Football Competition.

We were drawn against Trinity AFC from Donaghmede in Dublin. The venue was Oriel Park in Dundalk and this added to the sense of occasion as the players were excited about playing at this stadium.

We made our way to Oriel Park with some nerves as we hadn’t played a match in 6 weeks and were keen to perform well for our club and as representatives of Carrickmacross Lions.

Carrick Rovers 15's V Trinity in Lions Cup

Carrick Rovers 1 - 4 Parkvilla
NECSL Premier Division

Carrick Rovers 15's were first up on Saturday morning when they entertained Parkvilla on the Shercock Road. After a very disappointing first half perormance from the Carrick boys where they allowed their opponents too much time and space they regrouped at half time and put in a much better shift after the break.
