Marsh hit for 6 as Rovers kick off in style

Marsh Celtic 0-6 Carrick Rovers

Carrick Rovers opened up their Meath and District 2010/2011 Premier Division campaign on Sunday last at the Grammar School in Drogheda when they comfortably accounted for Premier Division newcomers Marsh Celtic. The Drogheda side had no answer to an excellent performance from a sharp looking Rovers side with striker Eamonn Lynch the man of the moment for the visitors with a superbly taken hat trick.

U14 Friendly V Monaghan Utd

Carrick Rovers Under 14 team had their 2nd pre-season freindly match in preparation for the start of the new NECSL league, on Wednesday , when they travelled to Century Homes Park in Monaghan to play Monaghan Utd's Under 13 team.

NECSL U16 V Athboy

Athboy 3-5 Carrick Rovers

Carrick Rovers U16 side continued theirgood start to the season with a 5-3 victory away to Athboy. Indeed for long periods of the game it looked as if Rovers were not going to equalise and go on to win a game they should of won easily.

NECSL U13 V Oldcastle

Carrick Rovers 4-1 Oldcastle

Carrick opened well with good attacking play and moved the ball in clever sequences up the field. Kevin Lambe made the most of a long through pass from Liam Mc Geough to get a goal in the 5th minute.
