Carrick Rovers 1-2 Navan Town

Carrick Rovers U15’s took on league leaders Navan Town for the third time this season, on this occasion it was the first round of the HSE Cup. It was an exciting game with both teams trying to play nice football on testing ground.

MDL C Res V Rossin Rovers

Carrick Rovers 2-5 Rossin Rovers

Carrick’s slim hope of winning the C Reserve League were dashed by an in form Rossin Rovers side who tore through a limp team performance from Carrick to put themselves in the driving seat with their own league ambitions. Due to the clubs involvement in the FAI Junior Cup 6th round on Sunday, the game was played in Kingscourt, the surface set up the match for a good passing game but Carrick failed to produce.

Borora 1-4 Carrick Rovers

Carrick Rovers U13’s went to Moynalty to play Borora in the league, Carrick are sitting on top of the table and want to keep this hard won position.

NECSL U16 V Trim Celtic

Carrick Rovers 2-1 Trim Celtic

Carrick played host to Trim Celtic on Saturday morning last knowing that a win would put them in a good position with a 7 point lead at the top of the Division One table, depending on how second placed Torro got on away to Athboy.

MDL Premier V Glenmuir

Carrick Rovers 3-2 Glenmuir

Carrick Rovers returned to MDL Premier League action on Sunday last after their Leinster Junior Cup outing the previous week and a fantastic second half fight-back saw them avail of the 3 points on offer against their previously unbeaten visitors Glenmuir Utd.

Rovers go down fighting to strong Cavan side

On Sunday Rovers travelled to Gortakeegan Astro turf to take on a well organised Cavan side. With Rovers needing to bounce back from a demorolising defeat the previous Sunday, they started well and threatened the home sides goal early on with good work down both flanks courtesy of Paddy Finnegan and Shane Rooney. It was all in vain though as they couldn't make the Cavan keeper work.

U14's In the papers

U14 V Killbarrack

Carrick Rovers U14 squad hit the headlines during the week, when their SFAI Goodson Cup tie with NDSL side Killbarrack Utd featured in the Daily Star's weekly Junior Soccer bulletin Target. The article featured a team photograph and an in depth report on the game which Rovers won 3-2. This was great publicity for the lads and for Carrick Rovers in general. Well done and the best of luck to the squad in the next round of the competition.
