Carrick Rovers 0-4 Borora
Carrick Rovers U15 Div 1 team took to the field after a week’s break with another home game. The U15’s are finding it hard to click with all the new recruits to the squad and if they play anything like their first half performance it is only a matter of time before they get their just rewards.
Chairman Art Agnew was out and about at the weekend and took in the Reilly Cup game @ Birdy Development Park on Saturday last.
Rovers played the first evening fixture of the year on Wednesday evening against title chasing Monaghan Town at Birdy Development Park. Carrick, who just haven't got 'the rub of the green' this season wanted to make the visitors fight for their title and did so for 75 minutes when tiredness let Monaghan in to score.
Rovers U10 side had a friendly against a Kingscourt U10 side on Friday last. It was the first time that the Rovers U10 team played on a full size pitch in an 11 a side game. The game was split into three 20 minutes periods.
Carrick Rovers 4-6 Woodview Celtic
Carrick Rovers suffered a humbling defeat to visitors Dundalk side Woodview Celtic in their first home game of the new MDL Premier Division season. Fresh from a good victory in their opening game when they hit 6 past Marsh Celtic without conceding, Rovers were shocked to find themselves being on the receiving end of 6 of the best from their visitors this time round.
Carrick Rovers 1-3 Parkvilla
Rovers U14 side entertained last years treble winning side Parkvilla on Saturday morning. The game was played on the Ballybay Rd pitch which was in immaculate condition and which suited both teams as they both like to get the ball down and pass.
Carrick Rovers 1-4 Oldcastle
Carrick Rovers U15 Div 1 teams first home match of the season did not go to plan with a lacklustre performance in the first half which put paid to them bouncing back from their opening game defeat.
