Carrick Rovers completed their final league fixture with a 2-1 away win in Duleek courtesy of goals from 'Ferret' and 'Woodsie'. At the final whistle the question on every players minds, including Barry Woods (below) was, 'How did Rock Celtic do??' The answer to that was that they had a 2-1 win of their own to set up a play-off between the two teams as both finished level on 51 points apiece.

**UPDATE**

The play-off now takes place next Sunday in Bellurgan @ 6.30pm.

Carrick Rovers 1-1 Navan Town

Carrick faced into a strong wind for the first half. Navan applied pressure with long clearances and forced a couple of corners which Carrick scrambled clear. At the other end Carrick put in crosses from right and left and had a couple of corners but were not able to get a clear shot. After 20 minutes Carrick won a free kick 35 yards out on the right. As the kick dropped over the Navan defence, Fergal Winters was first to react and passed the ball into the net from 5 yards. Carrick pressed for a second but without success.

Carrick Rovers MDL C Reserves got their first home win of the new season with a gutsy performance against Navan side OMP. The goals finally came in the last twenty minutes of the game with new signing Gary Marron and Barry McNally opening their account for Rovers senior team.

Carrick Rovers ensured that the MDL Premier Division title race would go down to the very last game with a comprehensive win over Woodview Celtic in their penultimate game at Birdy Development Park on Weds last, 5th May. This brings Rovers recent winning streak to 7 victories in a row which sees them tied at the top with last years winners Rock Celtic on 48 points with one game to go.
