Carrick Rovers

'in the community, for the community'

General News (17/12/17)

Carrick Rovers wishes to extend Season's Greeting to all it's players, coaches, committee members, supporters and sponsors.

Have a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

An appeal has been launched on behalf of Shane McMahon who has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

Shane has a long involvement with Carrick Rovers, at underage, senior & over 35 levels and he then qualified as a referee.

We thank those club members who turned out last Sunday for the Santa Run which was in aid of Shane.

On Christmas Day, a Swim Challenge will be held in Creevy Lake in order to raise money for the fund. All donations will be gratefully accepted. Donations may be made through the following link:

On Saturday 9th December we welcomed Minister Heather Humphries to join with us for photographs with some of the Academy children along with members of the club. We thanked the Minister for her support in our application for the Sports Capital Grant. We have been awarded Euro 39,000. Negotiations for the purchase of land on the Ardee Road are at an advanced stage and we hope that they will be concluded shortly in order that we can begin working on the proposed new development.

Congratulations to Karl McMahon and Louise on the arrival of their baby daughter.
