U12 Girls Blitz, Carrick Champions

U12 Girls

Congratulations to the Carrick Rovers U12 Girls Squad who are the North East Counties Champions after winning two games and drawing one game in the blitz which was held in the MDL last Sunday. They will now play in the national finals in the AUL which will be held on the October Bank Holiday weekend.

The first match was against Parkvilla and it was nil all at half time. In the second half, Amy Ruddy made a quick break from the half way line, breaking the off side trap and went on to score a great individual goal. The game finished 1-0 to Carrick.

The next game was against Ardee Celtic, our old foes. It was nil all at half time but in the second half, Natasha Martin scored a great long range effort to leave the final score 1-0 to Carrick.

The final match was against Cavan Shamrocks and it was a tight match with both teams playing well. Orna Kelly in goal made a great save in the second half which was vital securing a draw for Carrick.
